Happy Friday! I just opened this Red wine to include in today’s private wine tasting I’m hosting for visiting friends in town this weekend. The winery gave me this debut offering a week early so I could include it in today’s line-up. Below are the hints – the first one of you to correctly guess the winery making the wine in my glass will win a few bottles to enjoy on your own. Good luck!
Hint 1 – This Red wine in my glass comes from a Napa Valley winery.
Hint 2 – It’s a 2010 Cabernet blend that was mainly sourced from their estate vineyard in addition to a few other non-estate vineyard sources to complete the wine.
Hint 3 – This marks their debut vintage of this particular label but they’ve been making some of the most consistent, high-quality Red and White wines in Napa Valley since the early ‘90s.
Hint 4 – In total, they produce one estate Cabernet Sauvignon, two Cabernet blends, one Syrah and two Whites.
Hint 5 – For those of you on my mailing list, I introduced this new label in a detailed pre-release write-up the first week in June.
Hint 6 - The winery is located in Calistoga.
Hint 7 - They are extremely committed to practicing organic and biodynamic farming.
Hint 8 - In addition to wine they produce off their estate, they also make delicious honey and olive oil.
