Wagyu Ribeyes *

DEAN & DELUCA’s top-tier Wagyu beef comes from a Wagyu/Angus cross that consists of Japanese bred and American born and raised cattle. This beef is all natural with no added hormones or antibiotics. The dense marbling of Wagyu steaks is indicative of a rich, buttery flavor and an astonishingly tender bite. Aptly coined the "caviar of beef," Wagyu selections are sure to please any beef connoisseur. Shipped frozen.

        Comments about Wagyu Ribeyes:

Wonderful steaks. Almost as good as we had in Japan. It was my sweethearts 50th birthday, and so we splurged on the next best thing to Kobe. Thank you to the reviewer who clued us in to the cooking time. We cut the directions in half, and were still worried that we had overcooked it. These steaks are HUGE. We could have split one, but still managed to eat every bite. I wouldn't season them. We did what we were taught in Japan, put the steak on your plate next to a little pile of salt, a little pile of pepper, and a little wasabi. Dip as needed. Heaven. We will be ordering again, but... the price makes it resigned to a special occassion.

          Comments about Wagyu Ribeyes:

Wagyu beef has to be tasted to be believed--just a kiss of salt/pepper is all these steaks need. The downside to these particular steaks is that they are on the thin-cut side making them hard to time. I pulled mine well before the time the directions indicated, and was horrified that I had nearly ruined a [$] steak. I gave an average rating since a person less experienced with cooking steak will be VERY disappointed if they overcook these.
