We are not afraid to proclaim this the greatest after-dinner drink ever. In the late '90s, master sommeliers Jay Fletcher and Brian Julyan turned us on to this "elixir of the gods" that has been made for hundreds of years. Only two living monks know the recipe of this drink, which incorporates over 150 herbs, plants and spices. Often called "liquid incense" due to its spicy and exotic flavor, Chartreuse Green VEP is not ordinary Chartreuse; this is an aged, exceptional drink. Best enjoyed in a cognac snifter after a particularly fine dinner.
