Comments about Sir Francis Bacon Peanut Brittle:

I sent this to 9 partners at my firm and all of them threw it in the trash. I was the butt of an ongoing office email chain that lasted an entire week. Pure humiliation. Of course, they ended their roasting of me by stating, "Well, it's the thought that counts." You know when someone says that after receiving your gift that your gift was B-A-D, bad. I spent [$] on this product to include the shipping, and it all went into the trash. I'm just glad I decided not to pony up for the Dean and Deluca gift boxes (they are very proud of them). Those were about $8 a piece and somehow added $2.50 per item onto my shipping costs. I saved $100 by foregoing the gift boxes.I assumed this product was a good peanut brittle with maybe a hint of a smokey bacon flavor, perhaps unique but good. WRONG. This product has zero to do with peanunt brittle and everything to do with bacon. It literally is made of huge chunks of smokey bacon and you can't get the taste out of your mouth even after brushing. It is foul, and I'm a huge bacon lover. It tastes like smokey bacon soaked in syrup. Maybe this is what you'd expect from a plate of Eggs Over My Hammy from the Denny's Diner breakfast menu, but not from peanut brittle. RUN AWAY!

What a great treat. It was salty and sweet and loved it. Saved it for myself and wouldn't let the kiddos get their hands on it. What a fun grown up snack. If you love bacon, you'll LOVE this.

I was expecting a traditional peanut brittle. However, I gave it a try because I am an adventurous eater. But the product was too salty and had an unpleasant taste.

I don't usually go for brittle but a bacon brittle, I had to try and I was amazed how wonderful it was. The bacon was not overpowering and the peanuts were nice and crunchy. The brittle itself was not too sweet but it all seemed to have great harmony. Love it.
