The design of the Chemex Coffeemaker has been honored in the collection of Museum of Modern Art New York, the Smithsonian and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Made of natural wood and handblown glass, its slow brewing captures the full flavor of properly ground coffee beans.

Its simple design reflects its ease of use. Place the filter in the top of your maker and add one rounded tablespoon of coffee per 5-oz cup into the filter "cone." Next pour a small amount of boiling water over the coffee grounds, just enough to wet them without floating, so the aroma and flavors can be released. Then simply pour more water, soaking the grounds each time.
