After almost two years of waiting not-so-patiently until the right combination of 'having the money' and 'remembering I want it' came together, I finally bought this tea.

I had read plenty of reviews, here and otherwise, that had me so excited. I don't know what everyone else normally drinks that makes them think this artificially flavored, bland, flat-tasting tea (that isn't even whole leaf but tiny flecks that make it past most filters) is the cat's meow, but I'll stick to the high-end Chinese teas I get that don't need added flavoring to make them 'good'.

I drink this tea every morning, then make an extra cup and drink that in the afternoon cold. Delicious both ways. It has a wonderful aroma. I have a tendency toward heartburn but have had no problems after drinking this tea unlike some other black teas. All my other black teas have now been moved to the back shelf. I use loose leaf tea, but my husband prefers teabags. So, I bought some of this tea in teabags also and he likes it very much.

Living in the South, I don't usually drink much hot tea, but was in Paris at Christmas and drinking all the hot stuff I could get my hands on. Ordered Marco Polo at a bistro and went so nuts over it the waiter told me where to buy it. My husband went right out and bought me a tin at Le Bon Marche. They sell Mariage Freres tea all over Paris. Marco Polos has nice raspberry notes but not overpowering, very subtle. Tried other Mariage Freres teas but this is the best.

I researched for a day the best tea to drink, and tried a few of the top rated. This is the one that I have locked in as my tea. I love to try new things but sometimes if you stumble upon the best, why change. Its great hot as a morning coffee replacement, or at night to soothe. Even good to make a lot and serve chilled. I like to add a bit of sugar in the raw and a splash of milk. FYI this is the first review I've ever done, just wanted others to know how good and smoothe it was.

This tea is better than dessert. Don't get me wrong I love desserts, but if I don't want the extra calories or don't have anything handy, Marriage Freres is what I fix. The scent itself is a knockout. If I were dating, I would date someone who smells like this tea. The container is so classy I've had a friend ask me to save it for her.

This tea is wonderful anytime, from a perfect a pick-me up in the morning to a smooth compliment to any after dinner dessert. Even my husband, who doesn't like hot tea, loves this tea with a touch of milk.
