Colinas De Garzon

ONLY AT DEAN & DELUCA. This extra virgin olive oil from Uruguay is a bi-varietal blend of Arbequina and Coratina olives. Made from the first cold pressing of the olives, it is pure yellow, has a mild fruity aroma, and a delicate scent somewhat reminiscent of clover. An ideal finishing oil, it marries well with: white fish, freshly cooked vegetables, pasta and rice.

Like the first reviewer above, I too discovered this olive oil during a trip to Uruguay (Feb 2012). It is simply the best olive oil I have ever had. While in Uruguay we learned that it took 2nd place at the 2011 international olive oil competition as well, so that must say something!! So happy to find this in the States!!

I first had Colinas de Garzon on a trip to Uruguay. It was the best olive oil I had ever tasted. For several years I could not find it here in the United States. Every so often I would do an internet search for it and about 2 months ago found that Dean and DeLuca had just started carrying it. It is perfect as a dipping oil. I won't buy anything else now!
