We've seen a lot of recipes for babka, the classic coffee cake first brought to the U.S. by Polish immigrants, but we think ours is a classic. Made from a special, enriched yeast dough rolled around a cinnamon or chocolate filling to produce a beautifully marbled bread, it's the perfect holiday treat to share. Kosher.

      This was a replacement to a stale loaf I received. It took awhile to receive the new one, but it was worth the wait. I now see what everyone raved about in previous reviews. It was delicious and I will send it next year for giftss well....thank you for being patient abd correcting the order!

        THIS IS THE MOST YUMMY THING I HAVE EVER EATEN....FRESH!! Ordered delivered to California and arrived in great condition. Two loaves yesterday; one left and just ME to eat it! I am 74, watch my weight but impossible to NOT eat this!

          I received this today as a Christmas gift..and although I think the flavor is delicious, it is extremely dry; I can not even slice it without it crumbling apart. I would think on bread there should be a freshness date.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I got hooked on chocolate babka on my first trip to NYC over 20 years ago. Schlepped those heavy loaves back to Baltimore until learned to have it shipped. Pop a chunk in the microwave and serve with a big glass of milk, it's as close to heaven as it gets!!

                    This was my first try of Babka. I just glanced at it and purchased it on a whim while shopping for tea. Thought this would go great with morning tea or as an evening snack. Both work well. It is so moist and full of flavor. I was surpised that I received both flavors as I didn't really catch that they were sold as a set. The seeds on top were not my favorite, but you can easily remove them. Definitely will buy again.

                        I am Polish and make my own 'Polish Babka's' all the time. This one is a perfect balance to the traditional babka, yet encompasses an extra flair and taste. It's a nice change and not too sweet. Perfect for entertaining and as a gift! I froze mine and a month later defrosted and it was perfect.
