            Born and raised in Japan, these cigar cookies were special treats when I was growing up. They are made from good quality ingredients, and they are very simple butter cookies. Yet, they are very elegant and sophisticated. I was so happy to learn that Dean and Deluca carry the cookies. I have given this to my Japanese friends as well as my American friends as a gift, and they were well-received.

                      These cookies are above and beyond any other cookie you may have had like this before! So delicious, they are actually hard to describe. Light, flaky (but not too flaky), sweet (but not too sweet), buttery, soft but crunchy. Not heavy and will not "weigh you down" like some cookies. Packaged in a beautiful blue metal tin.Makes an absolutely PERFECT gift. A word of advice: two "dont's" when you place your Dean and Deluca's order. #1 - DON'T place an order without adding these cookies to your cart. And #2 - DON'T buy just one tin of these cookies- get two - they are WELL worth the money and you WILL regret it if you buy just one. They are the PERFECT cookie. Personally, I cannot imagine anyone not loving these Cigare Rolled Butter Cookies!
