People assume that high quality means expensive. On the contrary at Dean & Deluca! I did the math, and the per ounce prices for the inferior quality herbs & spices at the supermarket were more expensive than Dean & Deluca!!!

These are basic Italian herbs that make homemade marinara sauce great. You could also add some of the basil and oregano to store bought sauce and it adds a little more flavor. The rosemary is wonderful for chicken or fish. Thyme is a great herb to get to know and adds wonderful flavor. The herbs are fresh and of good quality.

Herbs are a mandatory. I was impressed by the color, aroma and freshness given that they are dry and not fresh. And they are not expensive when you compare to the run-of-the-mill herbs you can buy in the grocery store.
