DEAN & DELUCA's Moroccan Rub includes cumin, of course, turmeric and paprika for tint, some pepper for noticeable heat, but also a whisper of sweet. For Moroccan cooks, a personal mix like curry spices, and just as elusive to deconstruct. Reputed to improve digestion. We're not sure about that. But we do appreciate the exotic North African nuances it gives to beef or lamb. Comes in a large tin that measures 3" diam. x 2" high. USA

Used this in beet soup, and later in various soups that have sweet taste (with yams, carrots and such). With very little Moroccan Rub there was very rich flavor to all the soups I made. Guests always asked for recipe, and I said - this spice is the "secret" ingredient!

tried this with cubed chicken breast. Simply let the spice marinate for about 30 min. sweated onions in olive oil with crushed garlic, Added chicken and some grape tomatoes, once browned, deglazed pan with a little chicken stock and added some tomato paste. Was excellent over rice. Little spicy and husband wants it on regular rotation. super simple to make and lots of flavor
