A year ago, I purchased the large Metropolitan Spice Rack w/spices for my own gourmet kitchen. I loved the spices and packaging so much that I purchased the greek oregano as a compliment to the Wine & Country Cookbook as Christmas Gifts this year for family and friends. You can't go wrong with the spices and rack, it makes a wonderful contemporary touch to your countertops.

This oregano was wonderful in my gyro meat & my spinach pie. I also added a pinch to my Greek salad. This oregano seems stronger than others I've tried so I used less than my recipe called for. The only con: The tin is difficult to open & I kept spilling some on the counter.

Use it anywhere that you want a true Oregano flavor and aroma. Much more intense than common store brands of Oregano, which are not true oregano anyway. The tin not only keeps the Oregano fresh, but the amount that you get for the price is a better value than store bought.

I used to buy this product at my local store on Bainbridge Is, Washington. I now live in Arizona and have to drive 80 miles round trip to find a comparable Greek oregano. D & D's really is the best around. Not quite as lemony as fresh, fresh, fresh from Greece, but close. Guess I'll have to mail order now.

I bought the Oregano as i present for my Mum who loves Oregano and getting any amazing herbs in the UK is difficult but not impossible.

When i was younger, as a family, we used to go on frequent Greek holiday's. My Mum used to bring back pots and pots full of Greek Oregano and as we haven't been to Greece in a while i bought this as a gift for her.
