DEAN & DELUCA Tandoori Blend

DEAN & DELUCA's Tandoori Blend is a heady mix of a dozen aromatic Indian spices with just enough cayenne for a modest kick. Mix into yogurt for a chicken marinade; rub directly onto salmon steaks, sea bass, lamb chops or chicken breasts before grilling; sprinkle onto sliced eggplant and broil. A fragrant enhancement for okra, cauliflower or green beans braised in tomato sauce. Comes in a small tin that measures 2.37" diam. x 1.75" high. USA

Comments about DEAN & DELUCA Tandoori Blend:

I received this as part of a spice rack gift set. It was the first one to go. Love the depth of flavor and the balance. Not very hot, but it is easy enough to add your favorite heat.

Comments about DEAN & DELUCA Tandoori Blend:

I used this as a marinade with some vinegar and other ingredients for chicken, and it came out quite tasty. However, when I used it for authentic tandoori chicken, it didn't come out as flavorful as I hoped. It was tasty, but there is definitely not enough spice! It was alright for a commercially sold ethnic spice blend. If you are looking for authentic taste, it is best to buy the individual spices and add to taste.

Terrific and mild Tandoori blend. Love it with veggies and also with the traditional chicken.
