DEAN & DELUCA Za'atar

DEAN & DELUCA's Za'atar is commonly sold dried from big tubs in every spice market in Morocco, but hard to find outside of North Africa. Adds an herbaceous note that blends sumac, thyme and roasted sesame seeds to the country's signature stews or tajines and authenticity to any Moroccan recipe. Comes in a small tin that measures 2.37" diam. x 1.75" high. Lebanon

I buy Zatar at the middle eastern store here but it taste old and stale, this one taste very good, I mix it with olive oil and make a good marinade for my chicken,

Warm up a pita on the comal with a little bit of olive oil, sprinkle on some Za'atar and enjoy! This stuff is great!

Comments about DEAN & DELUCA Za'atar:

I have recently mastered the Art of Breadmaking and found this to be a delicious topping sprinkled on foccacia after drizzling with extra virgin olive oil and before baking the bread. Goes well with any type of hearty yeast bread.
