Thinking of scrumptious baked pears distilled into a sweet (but not too sweet) liqueur and you've imagined J Winery Pear Liqueur. Bartlett pear juice is fermented to dryness in stainless steel tanks and double distilled, yielding a pear brandy of approximately 50% alcohol. The brandy is aged for 10 years in oak barrels; distilled water and liquid sugar are then added to reduce the alcohol level to 30% (60 proof). The sugar broadens the palate and takes away the heat, bringing forth the pear essence. As a final step, J Winery Pear Liqueur is cold-stabilized and aged for an additional six months before bottling. Exceptional attention to detail!
