I bought this item frozen and it arrived frozen so that was perfect. I actually bought it as a gift for my best friend and also ordered one for myself. It was relatively easy to prepare and quick to cook once thawed. I was very pleased to see a lot of real lobster claw meat and only a couple pieces of the "fake claw." The fake claw is what I call the substance that you find in the very tip of the claw that has a more rubbery texture and which I do not really consider real meat. You taste the flavours of the lemon zest and lobster. Panko as a topping is always a favourite but the cheese pairing was too bland for my taste and I thought it could use a sharper variety. The second time I made the mac and cheese I scooped it out of the ramekin and spread it out in a larger oven dish. I added shaved white cheddar and Asiago cheeses, a dash of truffle salt, a little garlic, a "smidge" more parsley and it was perfect for me. I like that you get to keep two, nice-sized ramekins as a part of the deal!

The lobster portion of the product has yet to be found. The product, a gift from my son, will not experience a return visit.

If you love lobster, you probably still don't get to have it often enough. Who has time to prepare it the proper way? The Lobster and Mac comes ready to pop in the oven and it's just great for a quick lunch that you still want to be special. It comes two to a package, so you can invite someone to share it with you. Yum!

I loved this! It was delicious and flavorful. The only draw back was that the texture of the lobster was a little flimsy, but that may have been due to it not being thuroughly cooked when I first took it out of the oven and having to reheat the oven then finish cooking it. Dean & DeLuca should include high elevation directions. I live at 7,000 ft and it definitely needed more time than expected.
