Sugar Skulls

In Mexico, folk art sugar skulls like these are created for November's El Dia de los Muertos or "Day of the Dead" celebration. Hand made from simple sugar paste and decorated with icing, glitter and cut foil, ours are about 2" tall and 3" deep, and look fabulous lined up on a windowsill or down a dining room table with lighted candles. They also make great party favors or place markers. Skulls are not edible and should be used for decoration only.
