Giovanni Fratepietro, just sixteen years old, inherited the Santo Stefano farm in Contrada Cimininarella, Cerignola from his grandfather. From a historic family tradition, Fratepietro has remained committed to using only olives that have come from their farm. These Black Olives are prepared using the Sivigliano system. The resulting olive is very large, oval, and quite meaty, with just the right balance of saltiness and sweetness. Its flesh pulls easily away from the pit and lends itself to a myriad of uses. Wonderful for snacking, as part of an antipasti tray, or in salads.
