These grits are delicious. I used them in a shrimp and grits recipe that called for stone ground grits, these were perfect. It's one of my favorite dishes.

          Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

I tried the recipe for creamy grits in a New Orleans restaurant's cookbook, and the results were a delicious part of the shrimp and grits recipe. For everyday use, I might try making the grits with milk instead of cream.

            Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

Tasty with a bit of butter and a sprinkling of cheese, but divine with sauced shrimp. These stone-ground grits are in a whole different league compared to instant-in-a-box grits you find at a grocery. Even Yankees who say they don't like grits will swoon over these.

              Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

I bought 13 pounds of these grits for my husband for Christmas and they were his favorite gift! They are the best we have ever had and can't buy them anywhere locally in Tampa, Florida. We traveled to Charleston, SC last year and fell in love with the stone-ground grits and it was my mission to find more. These grits are divine and I would highly recommend them for any grit-lover! They are worth every bit of the 28 minutes you have to wait while cooking them.

Take it from a down home southern girl these are the real thing. I think it is just shameful all of the flavorless wall paste they try to pass off as grits these days, this product deffinately brings me back to Sunday breakfasts with my Nanny Bass. Wether you serve them with butter, salt and pepper, with cheese, or with red eye gravy you will not be disappointed. yum

                      Comments about Stone-Ground Grits:

After relocating from the South to Colorado, I had adapted to using Quick Grits. But after a visit back to Charleston, I found myself longing for the real thing only to discover that I couldn't buy them locally. Thank goodness for Dean & Deluca - The real thing is worth the 45 minutes necessary to cook them!

Oh My! These grits are the real thing. Just like gramma cooked up. Great texture. Authentic taste. Not the gummy grocery store kind! Try these with some cheese melted in. We call in "Down South Polenta". Great for breakfast with milk and some brown sugar ( I won't tell) or Southern style as a change from potatoes, with a little butter, salt, and pepper.
