If you like saffron, you'll love the taste of this intense mayo
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon white-wine vinegar
2 teaspoons saffron threads
1 cup mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
Warm the vinegar over low heat in a small saucepan, then remove from heat. Add the saffron threads and let soak for 10 minutes. Add vinegar and saffron to the mayonnaise, blending well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
