Kobalt Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Another top-notch effort by Kevin Carriker and partner, MarkHerold. Since their 2002 inception, the Kobalt releases havebeen one of our go-to wines, that is, while we have some available. As immense, inky and opulent as the 2005 but with a bit more structure. Sourced from Coombsville, Mark Harold was really the winemaker that got heads turning when he sourced some of his other wine projects from this southeastern part of Napa. When we recently tasted the wine again with Kevin, he described his 2006 best. It's lip-smacking and teeth-staining but so good. USA
