Since founding l'Uvaggio di Giacomo in 1997, vintner and winemaker Jim Moore has been dedicated to producing wines from the lesser known and vastly underappreciated grape varieties which are cultivated around the Mediterranean basin, are primarily associated with Italy, and yet are also grown in California.  “Beginning with the 2005 vintage, our 'Uvaggio' label is even further committed to becoming slow, local and green - while retaining our focus on producing an eclectic and differentiated array of interesting and modest priced wines. Each varietal is crafted to offer consumers a wine possessing balance, flavor, style, value and most importantly - food affinity.”
