Holdredge Wines is a small winery located in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. Together, John and Carri Holdredge make less than 2,000 cases of Pinot Noir each year. They favor a minimal intervention approach in the winery- preferring that the majority of intervention take place in the vineyard. This approach reflects the simple premise that great wine is grown and not made. Their commitment to minimal intervention in the winery is predicated on their belief that the goal of Pinot Noir should be the expression of place rather than the winemaker’s actions. They work with almost a dozen different sites in the Russian River Valley, from which they bottle anywhere from 5 to 8 different Pinot Noirs each year. The wines reflect distinctly different voices- but all are true to the flavor profile of Russian River Pinot Noir.
