ExploreStag's Leap

The climate of Stags Leap features a combination of winds drawn from San Pablo Bay and exposure to late afternoon sun. The resulting moderate temperatures, as well as the region's loam, clay and volcanic soil, produce a nuanced Cabernet and round, citrus-strong Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Stags Leap District AVA was the first appellation to be named an AVA because of its unique terroir.
