Robert Sinskey Vineyards

Luxuriously elegant wines and earth friendly faming methods are not mutually exclusive. RSV has found that caring for the land, combined with conscientious business practices (solar power, alternative fuel, animals to mow the cover crops, to name a few) have helped define the well-crafted wines of RSV. After 20 years, the philosophy that “Wine is not an athletic event,” still holds true to this day. The goal has always been to make “pure wines of character that pair well with cuisine.”

RSV pursues purity from dirt to bottle and is convinced that organic and Biodynamic grapes create living, vibrant and expressive wines. RSV controls everything from the land to the table with over 200 acres of CCOF certified organic and Demeter certified Biodynamic vineyards in five Carneros locations (Three Amigos, Vandal, OSR and Capa in Napa Carneros and the Scintilla Vineyard in Sonoma Carneros) with a small estate vineyard behind the winery in the Stags Leap District. RSV’s Carneros vineyards are dominated by Pinot Noir, from which they craft five elegant and expressive wines including three single-vineyard designates. From white grapes, RSV produces a beautiful and bright Pinot Blanc and a "Vin de Terroir" blend of Alsace varietals called Abraxas. From red grapes, in addition to Pinot Noir, RSV makes two "Right Bank" inspired blends (POV and Marcien), varietal Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon; and a few small-production gems rarely seen outside of the tasting room, including their delicious pink Vin Gris of Pinot Noir.
