Proprietors John and Nancy Lasseter have been long-time fans of French style blended wines. In 2000 and 2002, John and Nancy acquired an 85 acre ranch in Sonoma Valley, on the outskirts of Glen Ellen. Their intent is to craft only wines of the highest quality in the styles and varietals that they themselves enjoy drinking. As an homage to the wines of Bordeaux's Merlot-based Right Bank, the 2005 Red is a blend of 48% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Malbec and 4% Cabernet Franc. With a rich mouthfeel, their 2005 Red shows balance with notes of black cherry and plum intermingled with a touch of spice. USA
