O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

This comes from one of the newer Howell Mountain wineries, which has gained a reputation in the wine world for being one of the stars of the Napa Valley AVA. Made by Sean Capiaux, this '09 Cab fills the glass with sumptuous notes of bold, black fruit and cocoa. Complex yet balanced, it's one of the highlights of 2009, and that's saying a lot considering the company it's in for this spectacular vintage.

O’Shaughnessy Winery

Our winemaking philosophy at O'Shaughnessy winery is to produce a single bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the unique character of our vineyard and the Howell Mountain region. The winemaking style is traditional with the exception of the very modern equipment and winery. Our emphasis is on balance; the concentrated nature of the grapes from our estate vineyard on Howell Mountain needs to be in balance with the flavors and aromas in order to produce the most harmonious wine.
