Always consistent in quality and style, the '09 Estate Cab from Plumpjack was just released to me. 100% from their Oakville Estate and comprised of mainly Cab with 2% Petit Verdot in the blend, this is a fantastic Cab at this price. Winemaker Tony Biagi calls this "Classic Plumpjack" because while many wineries fought with inclement weather in 2009, the eastern side of Oakville was "bathed in sunlight", allowing the grapes to reach full, physiological maturity. -Kerrin Laz, Wine Director

The 2009 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet is a testament to the impressive terrior of our estate vineyard. While many fought the inclement weather our estate vineyard on the eastern side of Oakville was bathed in sunlight. Classic PlumpJack aromas of black cherry, blackberry, sage, iron filings and anise are followed on the palate with primary flavors of Bing cherry, blackberry, mocha and hints of vanilla.
