This is a new winery that Derek Beitler started with the 2010 vintage. Cousins to Joey and Charlie Wagner of Caymus, he's getting some great fruit for this bottling and I just added it to the mix in our D&D catalog-think of it as Orin Swift's The Prisoner back in the day when Dave Phinney was hand-crafting the wine. It's filled to the brim with layers of fleshy black and red fruit, spice, nuance, clove and a seamless texture. This is a co-fermented blend of Petite Sirah, Petite Verdot and Zinfandel from Calistoga, St. Helena and Rutherford. This is the PERFECT wine to enjoy with cheese, charcuterie, pates, burgers, hotdogs, sausages,roasted chicken, bison burgers, lamb chops, pork ribs, brisket, pulled pork sandwiches...think you get my point. 1160 cases were produced.-Kerrin Laz, Wine Director
