There's a reason why Helen Keplinger was just awarded with winemaker of the year in Food & Wine Magazine. She's a really good winemaker and while most known for her efforts at Bryant Family as winemaker, it's her own wines under the Keplinger label that are so unique and delicious. This '10 Red is comprised of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah - all coming from Shake Ridge Vineyard in the Sierra Foothills. Concentrated and filled with layers of rich blue and black fruit with a little baking spice to keep things interesting.
