For over 20 years, proprietor Jeff Sowells has concentrated his winemaking efforts on producing a California version of the great Sauternes of France. Using Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, Jeff picks his late harvest fruit after they've seen a touch of Botrytis, aka Noble Rot. The SB comes from Calistoga and is blended with Lake County Semillon. In the glass, look forward to tropical fruit notesinterlaced with a touch of vanilla and vibrant mouthfeel.
