NONO Pulled Pork

Using a “low and slow” cooking method renders this cut of pork into fork-tender, moist shredded morsels perfect for making pulled pork sandwiches. Glazing and finishing with NONO SAUCE creates a beautifully caramelized exterior and gives a succulent, spicy-sweet bite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Boneless Pork Butt (8 lbs.)
  • 2 tbsp. Ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp. Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp. Paprika
  • 2 tbsp. Granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp. Ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Cayenne
  • 2 tbsp. Canola oil
  • 4 Garlic cloves, smashed
  • 3 cups Chicken stock
  • 2 cups NONO SAUCE
  • 5 cups NONO SAUCE (reserved)
  • Directions:

    1. In a medium bowl, combine all dry spices.
    2. Rub pork with spice mixture.
    3. In a large skillet, heat oil and sear pork butt on all sides until lightly browned, approx. 3-4 minutes on each side.
    4. Transfer seared pork butt to roasting pan, fat side up.
    5. Add chicken stock and garlic to roasting pan and glaze pork with NONO SAUCE.
    6. Cover roasting pan and place in 300°F oven and roast 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hours until meat shreds easily with a fork.
    7. When cooked and slightly cooled, remove from roasting pan and shred with forks.
    8. Combine meat with additional reserved NONO SAUCE.
